Packed with romance, comedy, and hard court action, the story of Hot Shot revolves around a school where academics reign supreme and sports are delegated as an afterthought. Zyrene (Coco Jiang) vows to revive the basketball team by becoming the head coach. She recruits random students for her team and one of them is Andy (Show Lo), a country boy who is passionate about basketball but has no skill. Hope goes into high gear when Cody (Jerry Yan), a legendary basketball player, transfers to their school.

Andy later finds himself falling for Cherry (Zhu Cai Shi), a student on scholarship who reminds him of his childhood friend. Things get complicated because Cherry’s family works for Cody, with whom she grew up. The plot further thickens with the coming of Tyrone (Wu Chun), a mysterious guy who helps Cody in his basketball struggles. At the same time though, Tyrone becomes obsessed with copying Cody’s moves and defeating him on the court.
