Failon Family can now move on

It was a suicide base on the NBI report after over a month long investigation.
MANILA, Philippines – Broadcast journalist Ted Failon and the members of his household can now move on with their lives, his lawyer said today. This came as the National Bureau of Investigation concluded that Trinidad Etong, Failon's wife, committed suicide.
"This is the time [for Failon] to spend some quality time with his kids after all these events," Atty. Alfred Molo, one of Failon's legal counsels, said in a phone interview.
He said they have to sit down and talk about the counter charges they would file against the members of the Quezon City Police District for the violent arrest of Failon’s household members.
"And the fact remains that they were wrongfully accused and charged with obstruction of justice," Molo continued.
He also noted that the Quezon City policemen even had to insinuate Failon killed his own wife.
Aside from the illegal arrest and arbitration raps, Molo said they are looking into the possible violations of the Miranda doctrine by the arresting officers. - By Dennis Carcamo (Philstar News Service, www.philstar.com)
