Tips for COLLEGE FRESHMEN part2
>> May 28, 2009
- The Dean's office
- The registrar
- the NSTP / ROTC / CWTS offices
- The accounting department
- the Office of the president
- The VPresident offices (that means a lot of them)
- The Department head
Of course there are some offices and departments unmentioned but it depends on the school and course you are in.
TIP #1
KNOW THE DESTINATION
-once you are already in your screening period you really must know where to go. Knowing where the offices are is a very great help especially that you won't waste time asking and searching for it when you are in completion of your prerequisites. Knowing where they are will save you time and energy.
TIP #2
KNOW THE PERSONNEL
-in entering the offices mentioned above, you are obliged to know evry single personnel in that office or you will also have a hard time knowing to whom you must report to. When you are not yet sure that you know the person you are reporting to, then seek help from the people who are a level higher of you.
TIP #3
KNOW THE MAP
-a college or an university is one big place. Knowing the exterior mapo will help you save time and space on knowing where to go. For example, USLS is a very big campus and you are asked to proceed to the COLLISEUM for the preparation for a concert, you dont know where to go and when you found it, they are already having the concert (FOR EXAMPLE LANG HA). It would be really helpful if you know your way around.
TIP #4
KNOW YOUR LIMITATIONS
-sometimes there are places or people that is out of your reach until further notice or until appointment is scheduled. You can't just pop in the dean's office, sometimes, because deans are the most busy people in the school, more or less. There are also some places that students are not allowed, such places that only personnels can only enter.
TIP #5
UPDATE YOURSELF
-bulletin boards are the most updated and most accurate thing for present and future events and references. If you heard something that this is what is gonna happen and you are not sure about it, read the bulletin board for a more accurate updates or you can go personally to the event manager for that said event. Anyway, sometimes, bulletin boards are sometimes the location for board/ bar exams passer besides the newspaper.
Tune in for more.
